Project Description: Development of an industrial LAN to integrate communications between the following control systems:

  • Automated oil and fuel oil loading station
  • Crude oil tank farm
  • Fuel oil tank farm

Process objects:

  • Tank farms
  • Oil and fuel oil pumping stations (pumps with frequency controlled electric drive)
  • Inter-shop communications
  • Automated oil and fuel oil loading station equipment (valves, gate valves, electric drives for loading device, etc.)

Control & Information System: SIEMENS AG PLC - SIMATIC S7-300, S7-400, Operator workstations: Dell PCs and INTELLUTION software iFIX Dynamics HMI (USA)

  • I/O signals – ~2700

Functionality:

  • Process monitoring & control
  • Automated data base generation for oil and fuel oil loading metering (quantity and types of loaded oil products, numbers and types of tank-wagons, etc.)
  • Data transmission to the enterprise loading metering system via the control system network
