Project design of automated monitoring and control system for Kirishi Oil
Refinery’s Shop 13 Blower Station #16 Waste Water Treatment Utilities was completed and delivered.
The project solution is based on integrated Toshiba V-series 2000 controllers.

and Kirishi Oil Refinery" was completed and delivered.

The project of the First Russian Assembling facility for TOSHIBA custom
drives and control systems was presented at the seminar "Toshiba Social
Infrastructure" hold for 130th anniversary of Toshiba Corporation. The
seminar was hold on December 9th, 2005 in Moscow at Radisson SAS Slavanskaya
Hotel. The President of Toshiba International Corporation presented the new
TOSMA project in Russia realized together with TIC's Russian partner - JSC SPIK SZMA (Saint-Petersburg).

The contract with LLC "Lengiproneftechim" for the retrofit design project of
the Kirishi Oil Refiney’s Utilities Pumping Blower Station # 17 automated
Metering Station was concluded.

Project design for the partial retrofit of the Air Compressor Station control
system of shop #14 of Kirishi Oil Refinery was completed and delivered to the Customer.
Control system is implemented based on a redundant Toshiba V-2000 controller.

The first (preliminary) stage of certification procedure of the software SC ASLS SZMA is
completed. The provided documentation for software certification was approved by the “Center
for software expertise” of the Russian Scientific Center “Kurchatovsky Institute”.

Prof. Mozhaev A.S., Master of Tech. Sc., made a report 'Comparative analysis of
the failure tree technique with automated structural logic simulation technique used
for safety probabilistic assessment of the designed control systems' at the workshop
"Software for technical risk analysis" (Scientific Research Center "Industrial Safety", Moscow).

of the nitrogen-oxygen plant for the shop #14 of Kirishi Oil Refinery was completed and delivered.
November 14, 2005 Toshiba Corporation will host its first seminar in Russia "Toshiba Social Infrastructure”.
SPIK SZMA’s experts will take part in the seminar by delivering a presentation. The seminar will be hold on December
9, 2005 in Moscow, at the Hotel Radisson SAS Slavanskaya.

Software for automated measuring instruments accounting for the enterprise metrological service

were trained at Toshiba International Corporation.
Their high level of qualification is confirmed by their certification for
SCD Drive Assembling and Testing.

Inverter assembly by SPIK SZMA licensed by Toshiba is scheduled for 2006.
The main components will be supplied by Toshiba (USA).

Automation Project Manager - Mr. George Orchard, Director of Toshiba representative office in Russia - Mr. Mitsuya
Maki and SPIK SZMA General Director - Mr. Nozik visited Saint-Petersburg State Technological Institute.
During the meeting with direction of Saint-Petersburg State Technological Institute the representatives
of Toshiba International Corporation handed over as a present a control system set for the laboratory of
Energy Saving Technology Department.
The same day the management of Toshiba International Corporation and SPIK SZMA visited Kirishi Oil Refinery,
got to know the facility automation level, examples of Toshiba control system implementation and met the
facility personnel.

SPIK SZMA’s SC ASLS SZMA software application was considered for certification
at the meeting of the Committee for Software certification of the Research Center
for nuclear and radiation safety of RF Rostechnadzor. The resolution on admission
of the software application for the certification procedure was taken and experts were assigned.

the report on ‘Quantitative evaluation of reliability and safety measures for large-scale
automated control systems, safety systems, and emergency shut-down systems at design stage’
was given by SPIK SZMA’s specialist Doctor of Science, Mozhaev A.S.
